Lip Blush Aftercare Instructions

To help your lips heal beautifully and retain the best color results, please follow these aftercare guidelines carefully:

Right After Your Treatment

  • Gently blot lips with a clean tissue to remove any fluid.
  • Apply the healing ointment provided several times a day to keep lips consistently moisturized.
  • Avoid kissing, rubbing, or any friction on the treated area.

During Meals

  • Avoid oily, spicy, or heavily seasoned foods.
  • Use a straw for all beverages to minimize contact with lips.
  • After eating, rinse lips gently with water, pat dry with a clean tissue, and reapply ointment.

Avoid for 14 Days

  • Intense physical activity or sweating
  • Smoking
  • Swimming, hot tubs, saunas, or hot baths
  • Sun exposure and tanning beds
  • Chemical peels, Retin-A, glycolic acid, or laser treatments near the lips
  • Picking, peeling, or scratching the area
  • Makeup on the lips
  • Excessive alcohol, which may slow healing

Healing Timeline

Day 1: Lips may be swollen, tender, and very bright in color—this is normal.

Day 2: Swelling typically decreases, but dryness and tenderness may increase. Continue applying ointment and avoid touching the area.

Days 3–7: Natural peeling begins and finishes. Color may lighten by 30–50%. Do not pick at flaking skin—let it shed on its own. Keep lips well-moisturized.

Week 2: Peeling should be complete. Lips will look lighter, and normal routines may resume. Healing continues below the surface for several more weeks.

Weeks 6–8: Full healing is complete. A touch-up may be needed to perfect shape and color.
